The Ice Tunnel story could be one more of the multiple observations of destructive events happening at global scale due to the GLOBAL WARMING. Since 2021, I have been personally and emotionally engaged following the dramatic changes occurring in real time in the region of Arolla in the Swiss Alps. I have been observing and collecting 3D data scans, video sequences, drone visuals and photography of the ongoing spectacular decadence of this very singular Ice Tunnel which had opened up from the top of the gallery couple years ago and he has now, this very last September 2022, gone away forever after countless years of existence. Suddenly, this archive collected between 2021-22 has become an unsuspected and precious testimony. In 2021, I had the feeling that this tunnel with its ephemeral beauty and dangerousness was going to disappear within the next 5 years with the best hopes. The thickness was still significant but the dramatic heat of Summer 2022 got reason of it! MELT IN PEACE.

This ephemeral ICE BLOCK has now melted down, it has fully disappeared a month after the scanning in October. The ICE BLOCK was standing as a sculptural element in the front of the SMASHED body skeleton as a flagship reminiscence of the Ice Tunnel and its phenomenal beauty.
